MICS(Motor Inductance Charge System)

MICS is a technology that can charge a battery using a motor drive inverter system without configuring a separate charger.

Outside the inverter system, if you configure a rectifier circuit that converts domestic AC power to DC, power for charging can be supplied by the switch on the motor inside the inverter.

Depending on the switch operation, the inverter can be used as a motor drive mode or configured as a step-up converter for battery charging.

When configured as a step-up converter, the motor is used as the inductance of the converter, and the full bridge circuit of the inverter is used as the switch and diode of the converter.

Since the hardware of the motor drive system is maintained as it is and a circuit that can be charged is configured, system configuration cost and size are drastically reduced.
